Parscore Machine

A Parscore machine is available in the department to score Scantron exams. This machine, and the PC computer that runs the Parscore software are housed in McGill Hall 1320 (the Graduate Lounge) and is intended only for the use of graduate students and faculty. Because of the sensitive nature of the material stored on this computer, this room is not to be entered by anyone other than graduate students and faculty.

In order to avoid any grading conflicts, please make sure to reserve the Parscore Machine in advance. You can do so at the following website:

The calendar for the current month should pop up. To sign up for a particular day, click on the underlined number in the upper left hand corner. If there are no events for that already posted, just add your name or the class name under "Calendar Text", then enter in the time you would like to reserve the machine (double-check your am 's and pm's). After you've done this click "submit" to add your event to the calendar. If there are other people already signed up for that day, you will first need to click on "Create" (to the left of Daily Events ...), then follow the same steps as above.

Please make sure one (and only one) of the TA's for your class remembers to sign up for a time. During 5th and Finals week are the busiest times for Parscore, please be respectful of this and limit your slots to 2 HOURS on the machine. There are many computers on campus that have Excel, and only 1 attached to the Parscore, so please output your data after grading and move to another computer to finish up the grades.
